Sophie Does Shine

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

So finally a select few cell handset manufacturers are changing their ways. Check out the latest LG Shine cell and welcome in the new breed that are finally catching on.

Gone are the dismal cell names that start and end in numbers. Why that was ever the case still beats me, although TV’s and other electronic goods still find themselves named in this fashion… It’s crazy.

I want an LCD flat screen from the ‘After Party’ series, not a 254638fgT, and I want a cell named as something… not a number. ‘Shine’ works.

Now after we get the cool cell name we definitely want the thing to look good. Best let a real designer get creative with the look and feel, which is, from all appearances what LG has gotten into.

The Shine is almost exactly how I want my cell to look, and how I want my look to be complimented by my cell.

The last little evolution is in the way that LG is pushing this cell into our sights. The advertising and marketing is also hot… a lot in part, due to having hot looking people connected to the cell in promotion.

Region specific, you would have to love being an Australian, as the gorgeous Sophie Monk Shines in all the new promotional material

Good design, good promotion, cool product. How it should be.

Mobile Projections

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Now I may be a little harsh here but am I right in saying fantastic idea and product but slack name?

I mean… Project-a-phone?

A little creative naming effort may have gone a long way here…

“Project Cell”? “Projectobile”? “CellVision”?

Naming aside… Project-a-Phone(TM) just happens to be a very cool little device, and enables a live image projection from your cell or handset screens on to your computer screen, and from there to another screen of your outputs choosing.

Now in those ‘nothing better to do moments’, rare but sometimes available… I am sure there will be people who will find other things to place on the projection base of this thing… let your imagination roam a little… a fun and functional little device for sure!

Other features include recording of audio and video clips, 5 megapixel sensor, and screenshots of up to 3 megapixels.

Check it out…

Cell Phone For The Mobile Party Crowd

Friday, April 6th, 2007

A lot of really cool cell content comes out of Asia, including this cell phone for the mobile party crowd, or anyone wearing Adidas footwear.

Pump up the sound till your neighbors complain, or impress your friends with your very own getto blasted cell.

Normally you can’t really locate your cell’s speaker, let alone reflect light off of an impressive crome bling speaker frame.

Serious audio and visual impact.
